Job Description
Nortel Netas is seeking qualified team members for this brand new Center of Excellence team, which will be based in Istanbul.
Staff will be expected to interact directly with our local teams and Nortel’s global customer base to resolve technical issues associated with product and software installation, integration and configuration across Nortel’s wide portfolio of network solutions (including associated third party products).
The roles involve direct customer interaction therefore all candidates should possess strong English language skills, communication and customer service competencies in addition to the required technical background.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking primarily for new graduates as well as students graduating in 2007 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering, but we also have many vacancies for experienced graduates. All must have:

Superior English language skills (both verbal and written)

Strong Customer Service, Communication and Problem Solving skills
Plus, an understanding or experience in some of the following areas:

Telecom, ISP or IT industries

Voice, Data or Optical communication systems

Java, C++, C, Perl languages & Shell scripts

VoIP systems, SS7, ISDN and SIP/H323 signaling protocols

TCP/IP
-
Unix, Linux, Solaris and MS-Windows platform

Database programs (e.g. Oracle or MySQL)
Male candidates must have completed military service or
deferred for at least 2 years.
